      More than ever the world requires us to recognise and harness our capacity for collaboration. Only through collaborate activity can we address the challenges we face today and tomorrow, as individuals and as a culture. This Module seeks to make the implicit explicit and to champion the importance of deliberately engaging with and in collaboration in our daily lives, within our workplaces and within our classrooms.

    • Module Overview

      How will you learn?

      Explore your innate Capacity for Collaboration. Identify the skills that enhance your Ability to collaborate. Recognise the Practice of collaboration and ultimately develop your approach to collaboration with others.

       

      Each component of this module is presented in video format, enabling you to match the pace of the module to the pace of your learning.

       

      Navigate through each component using the play icon on the screen.

      The final Practise activity will record your responses and share them with the Module Lead.

       

       

      What will you achieve?

      You will learn about the nature of Collaborative Activity and Collaborative Learning through an exploration shaped by the enquiry question, In what ways can I harness the power of collaboration to achieve my goals, now and into the future?

       

      You will learn to recognise and develop your capacity for collaboration and skills which facilitate effective collaboration with others. You will learn about the hidden rules of group dynamics and how to apply tips and tricks to to the practice of collaboration. You will leave this module with a range of strategies that will help you to more effectively collaborate with others.

       

      This module has been designed as the first stage in a four part process of Understand - Explore - Materialise - Reflect.

       

      Stage Two, Explore (Available in early Spring 2021), provides a hands on opportunity to practise collaboration

      Going Deeper

      A range of Electives have been developed to provide you with additional opportunities to go deeper into the concepts and content covered within the Module.

       

      Electives include mini-modules, additional resources and learning materials.

       

      Electives are made available on the completion of this Module.

      The Module in Context

      This Module is one of four online modules which form Stage 1 (Understand) of the Cymbrogi Companions Learning Journey.

       

      Additional modules include Owning your Well-being, Towards a Sustainable and Circular Future, and Learn to Collaborate, Collaborate to Learn.

       

       

      Completion of this module will earn you 1 Cymbrogi Micro-Credit. 3 Micro-Credits enable access to Stage Two - Four (Explore, Materialise, Reflect).

      Who will you learn with?

      Rob Gratton is an experienced Educationalist and Secondary school leader with over 18 years working within Education as a teacher, school leader, teacher trainer and researcher with the UCL Institute of Education.
