      'What Matters?'

We exist in a time of unprecedented change. And an unprecedented opportunity to make change for the better. Cymbrogi Futures invites you to journey with us in an exploration of ‘What Matters.’ To you, your school and your community - today and tomorrow.

      What We Offer:

Leading practitioners and educators in curriculum design, creativity, well-being and sustainability have come together to design and deliver a unique learning experience...

...Which will enable you to develop the knowledge, skills and capacities to empower you to positively engage with a challenging and fast-changing world.

Our programme offers a range of online and onsite learning experiences which will support you in designing and delivering the new Curriculum for Wales. An exciting opportunity for educators and leaders to direct content and practice oriented towards enabling learners to shape more sustainable futures - for themselves, their schools and communities.

Our programme will help you to....

..Develop ‘future-proof’ skills of Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Criticality while engaging you in a personal exploration of the Cymbrogi Core Four:

      • Creativity & the Curriculum
      • Towards Sustainable and Circular Futures
      • Owning your Well-being
      • Learning to Collaborate, Collaborating to Learn

The Cymbrogi Core Four provides you with....

... An opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of both theory and application of each area, and take this back into your community to make the changes you wish to see - through an Action-Impact Project designed by and undertaken by you, supported by us.

The Cymbrogi Core Four have been aligned with the Four Purposes of the Curriculum for Wales enabling you to further enhance your ability to apply the Purposes within your practice.

    • How It Works

The programme runs across the academic year, October 2020 - July 2021, providing you with the knowledge, support, time and space to Understand, Explore, Materialise and Reflect upon the changes you want to make. both online and onsite, in four stages across the academic year.

      1

      Understand

You and your schools will have access to our online Core Modules, each linked to the Cymbrogi Core Four. Opportunities exist to delve deeper into each area through additional Elective Modules.

      2

      Explore

You will undertake a 2 day programme at our inspirational site in Lawrenny, a Covid-Safe learning environment, further exploring the Core Four with our lead practitioners, developing ‘future-proof’ skills and accessing unique experiences ranging from coastal foraging to storytelling.

      3

      Materialise

As part of the second day of the onsite programme you will learn to apply Design Thinking, develop your Action-Impact Project and then take it back into your communities to implement. Throughout this stage you will be supported by the Cymbrogi Network, a members-only access to resources, experts and peer support.

      4

      Reflect

In the final stage we invite you to reflect upon and share your learning journey with others; your peers, school and the Cymbrogi community. This forms part of your ‘graduation’ from the first year of the programme and the associated certification for you and your school.
